Observational Landscape Paintings

Light, movement, space: my semi-representational landscapes sing the song of the outdoors. They respond to the fall of light, the movements of trees and water, temperature, the touch of air on the skin. Each of these paintings is about a particular time and place - the precise sensations they bring. These paintings are most often of the landscape in which I live: Lancashire, and the places I regularly visit, especially the North Wales coast. They are always of places that have got under my skin.
